This section of the trail goes over the river by the lock and past Ström Manor park. Both the lock area and the park are well worth a closer look. The trail then leads over Uxåsen and down to Brattorpsån nature reserve. Jordfallsslätten is a working farm, beautifully situated across the stream, with dairy cows, sheep and sheepdogs. Before Hjärtum, we pass a stone that was raised to commemorate the planting of the forest in the early 20th century. The red building next to the church houses a parish hall and an interesting local history museum. The trail follows the old country road to the beautifully situated village of Sollum. There used to be a mill, sawmill and power plant on Sollum stream. The buildings have been lovingly restored. The trail continues past the “Stone Art Farm” at Nedre Torp, past the farm with its pollarded trees and a well-preserved labourer’s cottage, then over Långberget hill to the village of Utby. See the separate map of Utby.
